South Beach Smoke Review

If you’ve done some research on electronic cigarettes, then I’m sure you’ve come across South Beach Smoke.  It is rated the top electronic cigarette brand by the BBB.  With the BBB behind them, South Beach Smoke has got to be pretty good … but are they really that good?  I’ll put that to the test in this review.

All this for a total of $89.95 not bad. I personally think that I would pay a little extra to get a portable charging case and because of that I would drop the car adapter and the carrying case, kind of like what V2 Cigs has done with their Standard Plus Kit.

 

The Power Cig is great if you are at your computer for an extended amount of time since you plug directly into the USB port and vape-away.

It’s good that you get 10 cartridges but unfortunately you only get the option of choosing 1 or SBS’s 10 available flavors.  Would be a nice feature to allow customers to choose 2 different flavors since cartridges are sold by the 15 pack and not your usual 5 that you find with its competition.

The Standard battery gives you about 300 to 400 puffs.  Comparable to most of the competitions ”bigger” batteries.  As for the High-Capacity battery, it allows customers somewhere between 500-600 puffs.  Crazy! Nearly double it’s competition.  Oh, the batteries come in black or white as well.

10 cartridges should last you several weeks if you are not too heavy on the puffing.  In case you are,  additional cartridges are available, but at a whopping $39.99 for a 15 pack (nothing smaller). Which is about $13.33 per 5 pack.  Still cheaper then Green Smoke ($16.99).

SBS’s Deluxe Plus includes a Universal Carrying Case, like the one Green Smoke offers, which is nice as it prevents your ecig from clogging up with lint or dust.  The packaging is also professional, crisp, and clean.

 

Battery life and performance

South Beach Smoke also uses the popular battery model KR808D.  The “Standard” battery is 2.5 inches long and produces roughly 300-400 puffs.  The “High-Capacity” battery 3.25 inches long and gives customers 500-600 puffs. What gives SBS’s batteries the great performance is that they are made with the most advanced batteries manufactured today.  The SuperMAX Deluxe Lithium Ion Battery.

 

Vapor and Throat hit

The vapor from South Beach Smoke ecigs is not as dense as the V2 Cigs but it’s still pretty good and it gets the job done. South Beach Smoke has a decent throat hit. If you want to get the most out of the automatic batteries remember to prime your ecig by taking a few small puffs then take a long puff for the full effect.  Now with the manual batteries offered you won’t need to prime your ecig first, you’ll get a nice rich vape without having to prime your ecig.

South Beach Smoke has a good selection of flavors to choose from. I have yet to try all the flavors but I have the Classic Tobacco.  I plan on trying more soon, but at $39.99 a pop, it could get pricey to try all their flavors.

Wrapping it up

Overall, South Beach Smoke is not a bad buy but what sets me off is that you can’t buy cartridges in smaller quantities. Other then that, I can understand why the BBB has stated the South Beach Smoke is the top electronic cigarette brand … but in my opinion, it’s only one of the top NOT the top.

V2 Cigs Review

If you are considering electronic cigarettes, then I’m sure you’ve heard of V2 Cigs.  It is America’s #1 electronic cigarette.  With over 1 million satisfied customers, it’s hard to not try them out … but are they really that good?  It’s got to be, with V2 Cigs being sold in North America, South America, Eastern Asia, Australia, Europe, Russia, Middle East, India, the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, and even Slovakia!  I’ll put that to the test in this review.

Price tag on this bundle folks, $99.95 not bad considering everything should cost somewhere between $130.00 to $150.00.

Unlike Green Smoke, which doesn’t offer a Portable Charging Case (available in Graphite, White, or Stainless Steel).  The case allows you charge a Standard or Shorty V2 battery and carry 2 flavor cartridges.  Great for those times you’re out and about and don’t have the ability to charge your battery.  You’ll be good to charge your battery 4 times before the case itself needs to be charged up.

The Standard V2 battery gives you about 200 puffs.  Cool thing is, you can choose to upgrade to the long battery which gives users an extra 100 puffs for a whopping 300 puffs.  Just remember though, if you upgrade to V2 Cigs Long battery, it will not fit in the PCC (Portable Charging Case).  You also can choose the automatic or manual battery options for greater control of how dense you want your vapor to be.

10 cartridges should last you about 3 weeks if you are not too heavy on the puffing.  In case that isn’t enough, an additional 5 cartridges is only $9.95, unlike Green Smoke ($16.99) or Blu ($12.00) which is slightly pricier.

The V2 charging pack is not as nice as the Blu but it does the job.  V2′s makes up for it though with it’s professional, sleek, and clean packaging.  Every electronic cigarette manufacturer promises the highest standards but none offer customers the option to have a batch report specific to their product.  Each report is emailed to the customer which confirms the ingredients between batches and confirms the nicotine content and that there are no contaminates.

 

Battery life and performance

V2 uses the popular battery model KR808D.  The “Shorty” battery is 100mm in length and 190 mAh (Manual Battery: 140 mAh) which will give you about 160 puffs.  The “Standard” battery is 110mm long and 250 mAh (Manual Battery: 190 mAh) which will give you about 200 puffs .  The “Long” battery is 140mm long and 360 mAh (Manual Battery: 360 mAh) which will give you about 300 puffs.  V2 has also just released their new “EX Series” battery which is slightly shorter then the Long at 135mm and 280 mAh but provides roughly the same amount of puffs as the Long.

The other thing that V2 has done that sets them apart from the rest is unlike the conventional KR808 which is 3.7 volts.  V2 Cigs batteries are 4.2 volts providing customers with not only a richer vapor by providing a hotter vape but also more of it.  On top of that, V2 Cigs are sealed, providing better protection against the e-liquid leaking from cartomizers.

Quality at its finest, no wonder they are #1 in America!

 

Vapor and Throat hit

V2 is known for it’s vapor.  The 4.2 volt batteries allow customers to have fuller and richer vape without having to spend $100 plus on just a battery like the Smoketech EGO.

V2 Cigs throat hit, in my opinion, would be comparable to South Beach.

V2 Cigs has a fair amount of flavors to choose from, 10 to be exact.  I have yet to try all the flavors but I have tried the V2 Red, which in my opinion is very good but my favorite is the Coffee. I plan on trying more soon, probably V2 Cigs Congress or Sahara, but at only $9.95 per 5-pack, I might try them all!!!
